Paperfeel Ltd -
Masters of Designer Film - specialises in the extrusion, printing
and converting of application-specific and unusual polyethylene
film.
Products include:
low slip sacks; Form Fill & Seal films: waterproof label and tag
film; side weld mailer film.
A dedicated test
facility enables the development of custom-made film to meet a
client's exacting requirements. Computerised quality testing and
recording equipment ensures that every sample is traceable and
reproducible.
Paperfeel has
developed a unique three-layered film, also called Paperfeel. It is
strong and moisture resistant like plastic, with the texture, print
quality and folding characteristics of paper.
Each of the three
layers can perform a different function. The inner surface can be
low friction for ease of filling, the middle layer a stiffener and
the outside high friction to prevent slippage and to create an
excellent print surface. The layers can be different colours and
textures.
Paperfeel is
available in 250-400 micron thicknesses as lay-flat tube in
two-metre widths or four-meter single-ply.
Niche
applications include: pet food sacks with a non-slip outside surface
and high quality print, specialist food wrappings with a barrier
layer to exclude odours and an outside parchment layer for
aesthetics, magazine wrapping, and all weather labels and posters.
